Welcome to the Montgomery Kiddie Kollege

Inspiring young minds for the future

Preschool

Preschool is a vital foundation for a child’s development, offering more than just early education. It provides a structured environment where children can learn crucial social skills, such as sharing and cooperating with peers, while also fostering cognitive growth through play and exploration. In these formative years, children build the confidence and curiosity needed for lifelong learning, setting the stage for academic success and personal development. Investing in preschool means giving your child a head start in developing essential skills and a love for learning that will benefit them throughout their life.

Ignite curiosity and nurture a love for learning at the Montgomery Kiddie Kollege. Join us on this exciting journey of discovery.

4-year-old classes

Our main goal is to ensure children are ready for a smooth transition to kindergarten. Our all-encompassing curriculum promotes early literacy and numeracy skills, including writing their full names and recognizing and writing both uppercase and lowercase letters and numbers.

In addition to foundational writing, children explore shapes, patterns, colors, music, and engage their senses through hands-on activities. We also cover important concepts like community helpers and different countries, broadening their understanding of the world.

Enrichment Activities: To enrich their educational experience, we organize engaging field trips, celebrate holidays with special parties, and offer a range of activities designed to inspire curiosity and enthusiasm for learning.

3-year-old classes

In our 3-year-old class, we emphasize key developmental skills in a fun and engaging way. Children work on spelling their names and explore basic concepts like shapes and colors. They enjoy creative activities such as coloring, gluing, and making music.

We also focus on developing social skills to prepare them for the next level. Our goal is to make learning enjoyable and build a strong foundation for their future education.

Enrichment Activities: Throughout the year, our 3-year-olds have the opportunity to go on exciting field trips and participate in holiday parties. These activities add variety and joy to their learning experience, making each day both educational and fun.

Our Story

Montgomery Kiddie Kollege Preschool, one of the oldest in Davis County, has a rich history dating back to its founding in the fall of 1968. Chester and Beverly Montgomery, long-time West Point, Utah residents, were the original owners and operators. Chester designed and built the school block by block, with help from family, neighbors, and subcontractors for specialized work such as electricity and plumbing.

Located in West Point, the school sits about 100 feet from the main road. The three-room facility spans approximately 2,500 square feet, featuring large, spacious rooms with ample natural lighting. The school is well-maintained throughout the year, with regular painting and general upkeep.

Today, the preschool is owned and operated by Annice Nixon, the only daughter of Chester and Beverly Montgomery. Annice has been involved with the school since its inception, working alongside her mother until Beverly’s passing in 2007, when Annice took over. Annice is assisted by her daughters, Liseanne and Melinda, who learned the program by working closely with their grandmother and now continue the tradition with their mother.
